Parking
Hospital Parking
Mobilise is becoming increasingly concerned with the difficulties that disabled people are having when attending healthcare facilities such as hospitals, clinics, health centres and dental practices due to the lack of available appropriate parking facilities and, in some places, high charges for parking. We are campaigning for improvements in all these areas.
Objectives:
- A National Policy for car park charging should be created and imposed across the entire NHS.
- Any form of means testing for Blue Badge holders should be abolished at all healthcare facilities.
- Doctor and Dentist surgery car parks should meet the minimum requirements for number of disabled bays as set out by the Department for Transport.
