Parking
One of the most common problems faced by disabled motorists and Blue Badge holders is that once they have arrived at their destination, they are unable to park.
To a non-disabled motorist, this might mean the minor inconvenience of parking round the corner, or a couple of streets away. But Mobilise receives hundreds of letters and telephone calls every year from our members who have been unable to get to the shops, enter their homes, pick up their children from school or attend medical appointments. In many cases people have stopped travelling alone as a result.
We are fighting to improve parking provision and enforcement so that disabled people can travel independently, without having to worry about whether they will be able to park.
