Oh, we do like to Wheel beside the seaside…
It wasn`t that long ago that a trip to the beach was a pretty much impossible task for anyone with a mobility problem. Sand and rocks are two of the hardest surfaces to either walk on or push a wheelchair over but beaches have now become much more accessible with the growing number of all-terrain and beach wheelchairs available for hire.

Disabled people, flying light aircraft? Really?
That is a question the BDFA hear quite a lot, and it sometimes takes a long time for the short answer to sink in: Yes!
Everyone has looked up from time to time, and seen lucky people whizzing overhead in light aircraft - and wondered what it must be like to do it themselves. It really is a fantastic, special experience, which most people will never share.
